Analog/Digital: KaiBorg and Tiner/Glass in Ventura

We had a blast in Ventura last night, packed house at the San Buenaventura Artists Union Gallery on the ocean in Ventura. (Big thanks, Phil Taggart, for making it happen!) A continuation of our "Analog/Digital" theme from two nights ago. Kris Tiner improvised to film by Allen Glass, followed by KaiBorg with live video improvisations by Joachim Goßmann. This has turned out to be an intriguing pairing (acoustic/celluloid and electro-acoustic/digital video) and we hope to do more together in the future. Afterwards, a FANTASTIC party at Upfront Gallery hosted by Carolyn Friend. A truly enjoyable evening all around and a great time for me to re-connect with friends in Ventura. Pics of Kris and Allen by me, pics of KaiBorg by Kris Tiner. Also, a big thanks to our friends at ICST, Philippe and Jasch, for their fantastic ambisonic objects for Max/MSP....makes improvising spatialization fun.

Analog/Digital: Multi-media in Bakersfield...

KaiBorg had a great time last night in Bakersfield. Opening set was Kris Tiner on acoustic trumpet with two 16mm (simultaneous) film projections by Allen Glass...wonderful stuff. We then followed and were joined by video artist Joachim Goßmann. A packed house, thanks to Kris Tiner for putting it all together and for Metro Galleries for giving us a place to be.
